New Life for Peninsula Hospital....

PENINSULA HOSPITAL CENTER
FOR IMMEDIATE  RELEASE
September 2, 2011
The staff at Peninsula Hospital Center and Revival are pleased to announce an agreement for Revival to acquire the Hospital Center. Pending final NYS Department of Health approval, the Hospital Center’s Board of Directors have agreed to allow Revival to takeover the day to day operations effective immediately.
Mr. Todd Miller has been named Chief Restructuring Officer and will be working with the staff in place at the Hospital Center to restructure its operations. This agreement has received the support of the New York State Department of Health and 1199 SEIU. As a result, Peninsula Hospital Center will be removed from ambulance diversion as of Friday, September 2, 2011.
“Revival is very proud to be able to step in and save Peninsula Hospital Center for the Rockaway community,” commented the new Chief Restructuring Officer, Todd Miller. “We know that the staff at the Hospital Center shares Revival’s values of providing quality health care for the community and we look forward to being able to continue the outstanding work already being done at the hospital.
We are also very happy that Peninsula Hospital Center’s 104-year tradition of providing quality health care – close to home will continue.”
