...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM
EDT FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in New York NY has issued a High
Surf Advisory, which is in effect from 8 PM this evening to 8 PM
EDT Friday.

* LOCATIONS...Along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront.

* SURF AND RIP CURRENT RISK AND TIMING...High rip current risk
  through Thursday. Surf heights building to 8 to 12 ft late
  tonight into Thursday and continuing into Friday.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Large breaking waves will result in
  widespread beach erosion and flooding with minor damage possible
  to base of dune structures.
